After the bond issue is passed, work begins on what will be the new "dog house"-the new Lexington High School.

 July, 2007-the ground has been purchased and the site is staked.

December, 2007-underslab construction is complete, the foundation and floor slab are poured.

Work begins on the new dog house. Work has begun on the building pad, trying to get drainage on a flat site.  This picture is made looking northwest from across SH-39.

                       Same location, different angle.  The contractors con-ex is on site along with other equipment.  A dirt entry drive has been installed.  The Methodist Church is to the right side of the picture.

March, 2007-steel erection has begun.  Steel columns, beams and roof trusses are being erected and the interior concrete block walls erection has begun.

June, 2008-with steel erection complete, the roof deck has been erected.  Interior block wall erection continues and exterior sheathing is installed.  Split-face block and bricks installation has begun.  Parking lot and drives have been cut, curbs have been poured and the base layer of asphalt paving is installed.

September, 2008-exterior brick and block work continued.  Window frames and glass are installed.  Roof panels are installed.

The front entrance included a covered canopy leading to the entry doors.

December, 2008-exterior brick and block work is completed. Interior finishes and cabinet installation started.
